The Carrot and the Stick [Part 3]

New intro to Thomas Edison!

It is finally moving along. Better late than never for now.
Checkout some of the behind the scenes below.

This is the first time actually implementing text boxes and getting characters to talk with our script. I managed to implement this with collision detection actually. Around Edison is an invisible box that when it comes into contact with NPCs specifically, the player can press the action ‘F’ key and it will make them talk like so:

We’re also going to be wrapping up a kickass introduction scene that lays out the story just before level 1. We’re just waiting on the art assets for that and we will be on our merry way. In the meantime we’re well into level 2, or we’re dubbing it as level 1.5 because it is kind of an extension of level 1. If this will carry over to the next levels or simply act as an introduction is still being discussed as there are downsides and upsides to either implementation
