Wow! Just participated in 2 game jams in back-to-back weekends.
I finished hosting Marist Game Society’s student GameJam last week and this weekend, Carrot Island decided to participate in a MiniLudum Dare. We’re all over the place!

Hey everyone! Sorry I haven’t updated in awhile. It has been a very busy summer and I am back at Marist College now for a new semester.
I had a small role in a game called Clockwork which was designed by Michael Ren and we were featured at the New York Come Out & Play Festival this year with Grasshopper Games. I have pictures and videos inside for your viewing pleasure, and more about the game.
Marist Game Society had our Spring 2013 Game Expo! Students showed off their projects made during the semester or year. Carrot Island debuted Thomas Edison, our HTML5 game discussed a few weeks ago. We finally have a functional first level. While not entirely complete, its a good test to gain some feedback from players.
Read on to see more behind the project, our experience during game design, and play the actual game!

This game was a spectacular visual treat that I feel kind of broke away from the typical color palettes and visual style we’re used to in games. Particularly the lighting and the skyboxes/clouds. Its really worth checking out.
